This is a low resolution scan, if anyone else has a better one please let me know so this one can be replaced. Hopefully it is enough to deduce what is needed.
Another idea is that I could photograph mine (a four switch) and follow up here. I'll do that the next time I change strings. |

Hi sjones,
I've recently purchased a Jaguar Bass VI Baritone Custom and having crawled my way through the available sounds, some seem to be duplicated e.g. the neck pick up is available solo'd via the bottom control panel as well as the upper panel and roller controls. Compared to the Bass VI the sounds on individual pick-ups when solo'd is very different and lacking tonal contrast.
The combination of the 2 pick-ups on each guitar (neck and bridge) makes the Bass VI sing but somehow the same combination on the Jaguar just doesn't come close and seems dull by comparison.
This makes me wonder if the pick-ups or the pots or caps or all 3 are different.
I would welcome any advice on whether there is a difference between the two guitars in terms of the parts used and whether there is a "mod" that would bring my Jaguar Baritone to life. _________________ Ginger of JINKS THE GROUP |
