Hello fine gentlemen,
I am a noob-boob to this forum. I beg your indulgence. I have purchased two 6 string bases, one fretted (Davison) and one fretless (Brice). I prefer to string them EADGBE as on the Bass VI instead of BEADGC. I am doing this since my experience with classical guitar and 4 string base from earlier in my life lean me towards the convenience of my existing note and cord structure knowledge.
Could someone instruct me as to the string sets (manufacturers, product numbers and gauges) in both rounds and flats that will fit these long necks?
Thank you in advance,
Paul |

| Sounds like I run a pretty similar set-up. I oplay an Ibanez 6-string tuned E-E and my personal prefence for bass strings is Roto-sound. I found that JustStrings.com had individual stings in .035 and .025 which work pretty well for my high B and E strings, so I ordered about 5 of each to have plenty on hand. The other 4 I run a 4 string set of Roto swing bass - which I can buy at any music store. That's my solution anyway. |

| I assume these are 34-35" scale 6-strings, not shortscales? |
